Archaeologist-cum-adventurer Indiana Jones’ first big screen adventure is one of the screen’s great modern classics.  Harrison Ford stars as the breathless, whip-cracking hero who must retrieve the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis.  Few films have ever made such enjoyable, thrilling entertainment and achieved the perfect balance between action, drama and humour the way Raiders of the Lost Ark does.  A great achievement.
